Mari Gutierrez is an Indiana-based Lighting Designer and Electrician with hopes to travel throughout her career. She recently graduated Ball State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre: Technology and Design, primarily focusing in Lighting Design.​ Of her many opportunities at Ball State University, Mari is most proud of her work on Goodnight, Tyler, Bridging the Gap, and 25.

Mari is a 2024 Pat MacKay Diversity in Design Scholarship recipient through LDI, USITT, and TSDCA. In addition to this, she was also awarded Honorable Mention in her Lighting Design for Goodnight, Tyler at the 2026 SETC Design Competition.
